The new year is upon us and we are now seeing the early effects of the changes in Washington, D.C. President Bush and the Republican controlled Senate and House are unleashing a massive amount of proposed legislation. The majority of these new laws are in my opinion not for the benefit of the working men and women of this country. I usually try not to interject partisan politics directly into this column but I am making an exception on this occasion. How can anyone believe that the proposed cash balance accounts proposals for our pension funds are in our best interest?
